The LGBTQ+ Research Network was formed in 2023 as a safe space for LGBTQ+ researchers and academics, or those researching LGBTQ+ communities, to find support, connection, and community. The network now has over 250 members, all conducting amazing LGBTQ+ research both in the UK and around the world.
The group meet regularly on Teams to share current ideas, thinking and research, and is a relaxed and informal way to get to know other researchers.
We collaborate on research and publication projects, most recently writing 'The Guide to LGBTQ+ Research' book, which is available to buy here.
The network also host a termly LGBTQ+ Research Showcase event to spotlight the incredible research taking place in the network - get in touch if you'd like to be involved in a future event.
If you would like to join the network Teams space, please email Adam using a.brett@derby.ac.uk explaining a bit about your research interest. You can also follow us on Bluesky, and on Linkedin.
